Daddy is going to be home on leave soon!!! "New Year 2009"

Greg will be home on leave soon...... and the kids can't wait!!!! This last trip in the hospital was better than we hoped it would be. Jaden has 8 different medications that he was taking, and he had a very strong chemo that made him really ill. However; he was a real trooper!!! He did have some fevers of 103, but Jaden seemed to snap out of it and come home sooner than we had expected. Thank God!!

WE are still plowing on into the new year, and praising God for more time with Jaden (soon Greg too)!! We hope and pray that each of you are also praising God for good health, good memories, and many more good days to come during 2009!

Jaden's surprise visit today...

Jaden got a surprise visit from Jordan, Josh, Bradley, and Eric today!! It was so nice, and he was so happy to see them. We got to eat together, and play some games...then we Eric & Bradley had to go back to NC.

HERE WE ARE AGAIN... THE START OF A NEW YEAR!! 2008 WAS VERY MEMORABLE... GREG IS DEPLOYED TO WAR & IS STILL "OVER THERE", JADEN WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER & IS ON MONTH 9 OF A 15 MONTH HEAVY CHEMO PLAN (LONG 4 YEAR ROAD AHEAD!!), DYLAN IS IN THE 10TH GRADE & EXCELLING IN LATIN (GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL NEXT YEAR!), ALAINA IS BECOMING VERY CREATIVE LIKE MOMMY..lol!, WE HIT THE MILLION DOLLAR MARK IN JADEN'S MEDICAL COST (YES, I WAS SITTING DOWN WHEN I FOUND THAT OUT!!), GRAMMY DD HAS FOUND A NEW MAN OF HER DREAMS & WE LIKE HIM TOO, HEATHER IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL THIS COMING FALL TO GET HER RN...YIPPIE!!, BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR WAS BY FAR IRON MAN!! (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL #3 SECOND PLACE), JORDAN-JOSH-ERIC-BRADLEY FINALLY GOT TO SPEND SOME TIME TOGETHER...AND THAT IS AN ANSWER TO PRAYERS, WE GOT TO SPEND LOTS OF GREAT VISITS WITH JOSH, JORDAN, AUNT JANEY & FAMILY, AUNT DONNA, KENDRA & REX, THE WONDERFUL NURSES HERE AT VANDY, THE STANDARDS (THEY ROCK!), AND MANY MORE FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL AND VERY SUPPORTIVE TO OUR FAMILY!!

OTHER THAN THAT...WE ARE PRAISING GOD FOR ANOTHER YEAR WITH JADEN!! MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU ALL RICHLY THIS B-E-A-U-TIFUL NEW YEAR OF 2009!!

Medal for Greg from Minister Defence (Czech)

Greg is getting a medal from the Minister Defence of the Czech Republic...only 16 people in Afghanistan are getting it...wow!!!
