Jaden loves the snow... but is ready for spring now! ;p
Hope ya'll are having a wonderful Valentine's day!! All is still snowy here in "Snow-town" Kentucky! ;p Jaden is continuing his chemo regiment, and seems to be doing well on his increased daily oral chemo & monthly in-hospital chemo. His sugar counts have been sky high lately, but we are doing our best to manage that. We go into Vandy for more chemo on the 24th... and that is Greg & my 18th anniversary. We still haven't heard anything from his micro lab results, and that is always a bad sign to have "delayed" results. Please keep praying for Jaden & for God's will to be done! No matter what, we will praise the Lord in this storm!
Here are my thoughts for this holiday weekend:
Our society has a “disposable” mentality when it comes to relationships, telling us that it’s okay to leave our marriages, walk away from our friendships, or write off our children when times get tough. Instead, let’s learn from Abigail’s life. (1Sam 25) Even though she faced an impossible situation, she trusted God to intervene. And He did! In the same way, He will care for our needs when we look to Him for help in dealing with difficult people in our lives. Remember, there is always more at stake in our responses than we would imagine. It’s not about us—it’s all about a sovereign God who is redeeming this broken world and making all things new through Christ—and chooses to use us as part of that process.
