We have found that we are not a match for Jaden's bone marrow. The Doctor said he wanted to try a new drug called Glecuqz (spelling) that would help to fix Jaden's white blood cells. We are trying to get rid of the abnormal Philadelphia Chromosome in Jaden... the one that will allow a relapse of the leukemia. Please pray that this line of treatment works. It will be implemented during the second Consolidation of Chemo, that is around six weeks from now. Last ditch effort is a non-family bone marrow match. They say it may be the only hope for a cure.

We love you guys!!!!!!!! You will get through this, Jaden will get through this. Just a quick story for you. My moms brother was diagnosed with CML (leukemia) back in 2000. He is a research doctor for Pfizer in California. Because the expected lifespan for a person with his type of cancer was only 5 yrs at most, he went looking for research trial's through all pharmaceutical companies. Novartis had a trial for a new medicine called Gleevec that treated Leukemia but only for those who had the Philadephia chromozone. Before my uncle could sign up for the trial, on May 10, 2001 (my birthday) the FDA approved this medicine. My uncle has been in remission ever since. He is doing GREAT!!!!!!! jaden we are praying for you , your like family to us and we hate that you are going through this we wish that there was something we could do to help you guys out. i pray everyday for a miricle to happen that this drug works and he recovers. we miss you and love you guys very much if there is anything at all you all need just know we will do whatever it takes to help u guys out . i love you all the spalding family
